About Me

A mind shaped by
clarity & depth

I'm Muniz Reza — a finance professional with a deep interest in investing, markets, human behaviour, and decision-making. I focus on structure, logical thinking, and breaking complexity into clear, actionable understanding.

By mindset, I'm naturally skeptical — I question conventions and prefer genuine understanding over blind acceptance. Learning, for me, happens through books and continuous self-education.

"I don't just accept ideas at face value — I want to understand the reasoning, logic, and depth behind things before forming conclusions."

By ideology, I lean toward left-liberal thinking, influenced by Lenin, Nehru, and Bhagat Singh. I follow human rights and civic matters actively — using RTIs and petitions to raise accountability.

Observations & Questions

How I See the World

I'm interested in the systems shaping reality — from physics and neuroscience to technology, networks, and human behaviour. This is a collection of observations, questions, and ideas exploring how science, consciousness, information, and civilisation connect together.

01
If physics explains matter, what explains subjective experience?
The hard problem of consciousness remains unsolved. Science can map the brain — but mapping neurons doesn't explain why there is something it is like to be you.
02
When you see objects, I see systems and the reality behind them.
Every object is a node in a network — shaped by forces, history, relationships, and information flows that are invisible on the surface.
03
Is information more fundamental than matter or energy?
From John Wheeler's "it from bit" to quantum information theory — the universe may be, at its core, computation and information.
04
Markets are mirrors. They reflect collective belief, not objective reality.
Soros's reflexivity: the map and the territory are the same thing in financial systems. Participants shape the very reality they are trying to predict.
05
Civilisation is a technology for managing human coordination at scale.
Language, money, law, and institutions are all information technologies — they allow humans to cooperate beyond the Dunbar number of ~150.
06
Most human error is not stupidity — it's a mismatch between our evolved hardware and the modern world.
Kahneman, Taleb, and evolutionary psychology all point to the same insight: we are Stone Age minds navigating an exponential-rate civilisation.

A Working Hypothesis

"Reality is not what it appears. The deeper you look, the stranger and more structured it becomes. Physics, consciousness, markets, and society are all expressions of the same underlying logic — information organising itself."
